The Department of Mathematics in K.S.M.D.B College began its journey in the year 1967. The college was upgraded with the commencement of B.Sc. Mathematics course under the leadership of Prof. C. N. Parameswaran Nair, the founder Professor and Head of the Department. Right from its inception the Department has attempted to set high standards of teaching and learning and became a Post-Graduate Department in the year 1999. Apart from BSc and MSc Degree Programs, it offers Mathematics as a Complementary Course for the Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry and Statistics Degree Programs. The Department also offers a Course in Operations Research for aspiring students from non-Mathematics Degree streams as an Open Course.
